PPT license: untrained £12.76 per hour/trained £13.75 per hour

FLT: untrained £13.18 per hour/trained £14.32 per hour

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and safety-conscious Stock Mover to join a busy fresh produce operation in Tonbridge.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient movement of stock throughout the packhouse and warehouse, supporting production targets while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and operational performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting, organising, and managing stock using FLT equipment, ensuring all products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Essential Requirement

  • Current and valid FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
  • Previous FLT operating experience

Key Responsibilities

Stock Movement & Operations

  • Safely move finished goods, pallets, and bins between production, storage, and dispatch areas.
  • Ensure fruit, packaging, and finished products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Set up production lines before and during production runs.
  • Remove leftover packaging and stock from previous production jobs.
  • Weigh juice and generate manual bin labels with accurate net weights.
  • Transfer finished goods to warehouse and storage locations as required.

Stock Control & Accuracy

  • Verify stock against pallet labels, ensuring product, packaging type, and quantities are correct.
  • Carry out Work in Progress (WIP) stock movements and transactions when required.
  • Scan and accurately record pallet movements within the stock management system.
  • Ensure all pallets and bins are correctly labelled, including Class I, Class II, and Juice stock.
  • Report stock discrepancies promptly to the Line Leader.
  • Support full product traceability at all times.

Health, Safety & Food Safety

  • Operate all FLT and MHE equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure pallets are securely stacked, strapped, and safe for movement.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, GMP, and HACCP standards.
  • Wear the correct PPE and maintain excellent hygiene standards.
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults, hazards, or defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment through a “clean as you go” approach.
  • Support emergency procedures where trained and required.

Administration

  • Complete all stock movement and operational paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Record stock movements and update system information as required.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly completed, signed, and dated.
  • Maintain accurate stock records to support traceability and inventory control.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Support production and warehouse teams when required.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absences or peak periods.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and operational performance.
  • Work flexibly to support changing business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid FLT licence and proven forklift operating experience.
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, FMCG, manufacturing, or fresh produce environment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
  • Basic understanding of stock control systems (desirable).
