Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: Principal in the region £50 -60K | Associate in the region of £60-70K
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Landscape Architect to join a well-established and growing consultancy, delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and public realm projects.
This role offers the chance to take a leading position within the team, managing key client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the business.
Principal or Associate Landscape Architect
The Role:
You will lead projects from concept through to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs, while acting as a primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders. The role will also involve mentoring junior team members and supporting wider business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage landscape architecture projects across a range of sectors
- Maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Oversee the preparation and review of technical reports and design outputs
- Manage project programmes, budgets, and overall delivery
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior team members
- Support business development activities and bid preparation
Requirements
- Degree (and ideally postgraduate qualification) in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or working towards)
- Significant consultancy experience within the built environment
- Proven ability to manage projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in relevant design software including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
